Personal Thoughts

Wait for Destiny 2 (PC) Continues

As of the time of writing, it’s been about 1 month and a week since I last set my hands on the latest Destiny – and while I remember my time with the original Destiny not being too ecstatic – but after playing Destiny 2 I had a very quick change of heart. My initial problem with Destiny was the gunplay, it just didn’t have the same satisfying feel as you would expect and want from an FPS game that you expect to place a serious amount of time in. After all, I only ever managed to complete the campaign the once and didn’t do very much when it came to the endgame content – a couple of strikes here and there, but nothing more.

So, when I got the chance to play the open beta a little bit for Destiny 2, I was very much surprised at just how much fun the game and the gunplay felt this time around and I don’t believe that’s entirely down to the fact it’s coming to PC. Although I’m very much glad it isn’t exclusive to consoles this time around. The only real downside I found with the game is that I’m pretty shocking (bad) at the online multiplayer, but that’s really my fault… To be fair, though, it really does make wonder why everyone and their mum seems to be able to use the Handcannon properly; yet the second I try and use it, it has the same impact as a confetti launcher!

Despite just how terrible I seem to be at the online component of the game, I’m still very much looking forward to the game finally coming out on PC in little over a week now. From what I’ve seen of the game so far from the miscellaneous clips of footage and gameplay I’ve seen from the console version of the game, and it’s really got me pumped for the PC release – even if every live stream I see of this game makes me a tad jealous that I’ve still got to wait for this game to finally be released on the PC.

Thankfully, there’s not too much time left until the game is out on PC and I can sink my teeth into the game and see if the open beta was a good indicator for the rest of the game. But for the moment, though, I’m just going to have to bide my time and play some more Overwatch or PUBG, whichever one my mouse hovers over first!
