Wait for Destiny 2 (PC) Continues

As of the time of writing, it’s been about 1 month and a week since I last set my hands on the latest Destiny – and while I remember my time with the original Destiny not being too ecstatic – but after playing Destiny 2 I had a very quick change of heart. My initial problem with Destiny was the gunplay, it just didn’t have the same satisfying feel as you would expect and want from an FPS game that you expect to place a serious amount of time in. After all, I only ever managed to complete the campaign the once and didn’t do very much when it came to the endgame content – a couple of strikes here and there, but nothing more.

So, when I got the chance to play the open beta a little bit for Destiny 2, I was very much surprised at just how much fun the game and the gunplay felt this time aroun...

Overwatch – Need for Flex Players

It should come as no surprise to anyone at this point that I’m a fan of Blizzard’s competitive, FPS, Overwatch. After all, I picked the game up the same month it was released and have consistently played it for the past year. During that time, I’ve learned to flex between different characters and different roles; with one of my major ones being tank. At one point, I even had a mate of mine say that “I must really like tanks, because I pick them so often.” My response to that was a bit of a laugh and I mentioned the reason I have so much time on tanks is because no one else would play them – a fact that’s getting more prominent as time goes on.

Back in the early days of the game’s release, I picked up Roadhog as my main, as he had a kit that I enjoyed; hooking people was pretty damn satisfy...

Why You “Probably” Shouldn’t Buy Too Many Games

Ever since I was young, I operated under the philosophy that more was better when it came to video games. After all, it made sense: the more games you’ve got, the more you’ve got to play; where could it go wrong? Well, as I’ve found out in the past year, buying a lot of PS4 games in a short period of time may not have been my best idea to-date. Don’t get me wrong, I love my collection and I’m pretty proud of it (just don’t get me started on the 1,300 video games on Steam that I have) but knowing that I have around 20 different games to finish on that system alone fills me with concern.

As of right now, I’ve been focusing on the incredibly good Persona 5 – which I’ve nearly finished – but during my month and a half of play, I’ve bought about 5 or 6 new PS4 games to play...

Overwatch – My Thoughts on Raging/Flaming

In almost one whole year, Overwatch – one of the most popular FPS games in recent years – is finally about to reach its first birthday. When it came to Overwatch, I didn’t pre-order the game until a couple of weeks before it was officially released, so I don’t have the same sort of experience as some players. Despite this, I’ve been playing pretty solidly for the last year and have not long gotten past level 100 and I can quite honestly say it’s one of my go-to games at the moment. When I hop onto Overwatch, I tend to play until I level up so I can get myself a free loot-box, which is something that keeps me on the game for a decent couple of hours a night when I’m feeling up to it.

As a gateway to my topic, I will admit that I can get quite frustrated at times when playing this game, eve...

My Opinion on the Nintendo Switch

Several weeks back, we as an industry were treated to the release date of the brand new console from Nintendo: the Switch. During this brief period of hype around the brand new console, I quickly found myself getting relatively bogged down by the Switch after seeing the trailer; and I’ve tried my best to put my thoughts and feelings into why.

First and foremost, the main problem I have with the Switch is the fact that it’s coming out in the middle of the current console generation...

Darkest Dungeon – It’s Pretty Dark in There

It has been about a week since the Steam sale has ended (at least it was when I first started writing) and I think it’s fair to say I got myself a decent haul of games to play, one of which just so happens to be Darkest Dungeon, a turn-based RPG, revolving around a lovecraftian theme.

Honestly, I’ve been meaning to pick up Darkest Dungeon for a while, and the Steam sale gave me the perfect opportunity to get the game for myself, and oh, does it not disappoint.

There are a number of reasons on why this game got my attention, and one of the first to mention has to be the art-style...

Fallout 4 = Nerdgasm

Excuse the title, but it pretty much explains how I’m feeling when it comes to Fallout 4. As an individual who still supports Fallout 3 as the better Fallout game when in comparison to Fallout New Vegas, I have to say I’m loving Fallout 4. I didn’t have many doubts that the game would live up to the hype, and I think it’s safe to say that it’s doing just that. Pretty much everything that was promised so far, has appeared in the game in some form of another, and it just goes to show Bethesda still have what it takes when it comes to game design.

Obviously the game isn’t perfect, but then what is? I haven’t encountered any bugs just yet, other than the infinite loading screen when it came to loading my save, as well as loading screens taking forever once I was in-game, all of which made the ...

Finding a Theme is Hard

Apparently, finding a theme I would actually like to stick to is relatively difficult. So I think I’m just going to hold off changing it for a bit, and instead just try and work out the kinks with the one I’ve got now at some point.

I say at some point, because I would rather go and play League. So that’s just what I’m going to do instead!
