Marvel VS Capcom: Infinite Finally has a Release Date

Capcom has been teasing fans of the Marvel VS Capcom franchise for some time now about the upcoming MVC game. By the looks of things, they’ve finally stopped playing around and have decided to announce an official release date – 19th September 2017. Along with the release date, they’ve also dropped a brand new story-related trailer that shows a short handful of the characters you’ll be able to play with – and against – in the story mode of the game.

Feel free to watch the trailer below:

Just by looking at the trailer, we’ve got a vast amount of fan favourites returning into the mix, such as:

  • The Incredible Hulk
  • Thor
  • Chris Redfield
  • Captain America
  • Chun-Li
  • Mega Man

We’re even treated to Marvel’s most favoured space-faring raccoon, Rocket Raccoon. How this fella is going to play in this series is currently a complete mystery, but I would hazard to guess it involves some fairly large weaponry that would look rather amiss to a creature of his size. But hey, that’s the whole point of playing characters such as him, because of how completely ridiculous they are when played! Now, while that doesn’t necessarily mean that the raccoon will be a top-tier character, it does mean we get to figure out whether he would look better on a team consisting of the God of Thunder: Thor or one of Rocket Raccoons best friends, Star-Lord himself.

In further news, it has been announced that there are 6 more characters that are going to be paid-DLC, with Sigma supposedly being one of them – one of the villains of the main story.

For the time being, we haven’t heard too much about what is going to be coming in Marvel VS Capcom: Infinite, but I’m sure fighting game fans around the world are most assuredly looking forward to finding out because I certainly know that I am!
